After the enormous success of Flipstock '99, the buzz around Ontario Place was huge for the follow-up. Promotion for the event became a regular part of daytime entertainment at the Island Club, with production staff carrying large "Support Flipstock" signs across the stage in the middle of dance numbers.
For Flipstock's second show, Flip called upon the talents of a Flipstock original, Yurko. Yurko and his band, Side Two tore up the Island Club stage and sat in as the house band for the live jam. Also on stage was Tempora Dystopia and the music of DJ Shelshock and DJ Q. The crowd was large and the feeling was total rock and roll, we didn't even let the rain phase us. |
